Mr. Wendt has 23 years of healthcare provider and financing experience, including experience in developing actionable business intelligence, strategic management consulting, tax-exempt healthcare finance, strategic capital planning, incentive-based payment systems, capital formation, Board of Trustees advisory work, public data transparency, and the evaluation of strategic business opportunities.
Most recently, Mr. Wendt has focused his provider efforts on developing easily understandable business intelligence for strategic hospital management. Mr. Wendt has also focused on debt capacity and credit analysis, business plan development, quality of inpatient admissions, profitability analysis, competitive assessment analysis, leadership education, and environmental assessment analysis.
Mr. Wendt has substantial healthcare financing experience, and serves as a consultant to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Affairs' healthcare national insurance program, where he provides credit and bond covenant advice for the program's new applicants, and also provides work-out advice and strategies for the program's troubled credits.
Mr. Wendt spent 3 years at the Illinois Health Facilities Authority, where he was Chief Financial Officer, in addition to spending 10 years at Lehman Brothers, where he specialized in tax-exempt healthcare finance.
